MEMORIES, NARRATIVES AND HISTORIES
A Postgraduate Research Conference

Wednesday 3rd June, 10-5
InQbate, University of Sussex

Co-organised by the Centre for Research in Memory, Narrative and Histories, University of Brighton, and the the Centre for Life History and Life Writing Research, University of Sussex

The aim of this research day is to enable post-graduate students from the Universities of Brighton and Sussex to meet in a creative environment to present on aspects of their work that relate to memories, narratives and histories. These might include:

- Life history and oral history work
- Archival research and reflections on the nature of archives
- Public history
- Cultural memory
- Community history
- Creative/Life writing, cultural practice and life story


Papers of no more than 20 minutes in length are invited alongside presentations which take a different form, e.g. drama, film making, photography. Presentations are invited both from research students and from Masters students who are conducting research in fields that fall within the ‘memories, narratives and histories’ research area.
